A List of WOW Ore Mining Locations

By Summer Brockie

As WOW players all know, you will be tired of the game someday and want to remove your attention to somewhere else. However, you may not know how to value your account, especially when you've invested a lot of time and energy into it. There are a large number of factors can influence the value of your WoW account. With a few simple steps and considerations, you'll know how much it's worth.

First of all, you should decide how many characters you have in your account, and the levels of these characters. If you've played WoW for a long time, you might have several top-level characters. Actually, an account with multiple level-80 characters are worth even much more than one with a single character at max-level.

The best mining skill you can learn without owning any of the expansion packs is Artisan mining. Fel iron cannot be mined without the "Burning Crusades" expansion as the area its deposits are not accessible without it. With artisan mining you can begin mining dark iron in 230 skill, small thorium at 230, rich thorium at 275, and fel iron at 300. Dark iron deposits happen to be in the Molten Core and Blackrock Depths. Small thorium and rich thorium both contain thorium ore. However, rich deposits have more ore. Both types of thorium deposit are in the Burning Steppes, Un'Goro Crater and Silithus. Small thorium deposits are in the Felwood. Rich thorium deposits are in Winterspring and Eastern Plaguelands. You can find Fel iron deposits in every area of the Outland continent, but Hellfire Peninsula is in the place it's often found.

The only additional metal which can be mined with journeyman mining is iron ore, which requires a skill level of 125. Iron deposits are found in Alterac Hills, Arathi Highlands, Badlands, Stranglethorn Vale, Thousand Needles and Dustwallow Marsh.

Iron ore is the only additional metal that can be mined with journeyman mining. It requires players to level up their skills to 125. Iron deposits are usually in Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands, Badlands, Stranglethorn Vale, Thousand Needles and Dustwallow Marsh.
