By Jean Morgan

Having a job as a gamer, who doesnt dream of that? Follow these steps to get a great game tester resume. Unlike boring, soul draining jobs, Game testing does not require an education, but it does require experience. Experience which you will need to show on your resume before you are accepted for Video Game Testing!

Gaming experience can be accomplished in several ways. Here are some usefull tips to gain expierence before you enter any job application!

1. Writing Reviews about your favorite games. It doesnt matter if you suck at writing, all you need is a clear standpoint of view and after a while you'll get the hang of it! You can start off writing at forums and small game sites. Just keep em short untill you get more comfortable writing them. Why is this good expierence? Because now you know what makes a game good or bad, your future employer will want that in you.

2. Organizing events. Whether it be a discussion group or a big get-together for a certain gaming genre, organize something! Here you show off that you can also deal with offline matters. Great Game testers are good on both sides of the field!

3. Creating Mods. This might sounds hard but its easier than one might think. They're actually very simple small programs and you can easily find out how to make em. You might not make any money with it now, but the experience that comes with it will easily help you on your gaming resume, which is a must for a good pc game tester.

4. Creating mini games. This speaks for itself, if you do a small search on it you will see how easy it is, trust me! With this accomplishment you have shown your employers that you know what it takes to test and make a game by yourself, sort of. Its basic but everything helps!

5. Be a Game Beta tester. Very productive, fun and great to have on your resume! You can find hundreds of games on google that are in their beta stages. Its as easy as just signing up and starting to play. Make sure you are on time because most spots fill up quickly after the beta is announced. Its almost like the real deal of game testing.

What it comes down to, be creative! Its very easy and fun to do these things and it will help you get your game testing career started in no time! A job as a gamer.
