Nintendo 3DS Blue Review by a Gamer

By Todd Gilmer

Finally the Nintendo 3DS is launched and I will be one of the hundreds of people running to the game store to get it!I have been waiting for a long time for this console to arrive and now it is finally time.It was released here in the USA on March 27, 2011 with the UK and Australia to follow soon.Let me tell you about a crazy gamer like myself. I have played many games in my life before, more than you can ever imagine. However, I have never played a 3D game that require me to wear no glasses at all. This is the most exciting thing that I have been waiting.Looking at a 3D image without any glasses will be an awesome experience.

It will be totally awesome to see Link saving Zelda by swinging his sword vigorously in the game.Old games like Kirby, Pokemon, Mario and Star Fox will get a great remake as well.Combined with newer games that Nintendo release, it will be worth the wait altoghether. If you are a gamer like myself and love those games in 2D, imagine what would it feel like playing it in 3D?

You have to agree that the most fantastic feature about this new Nintendo 3DS is that it can display the 3D images without you having to wear glasses. This is a revolution in technology that many expert have considered. It is true in both gaming and photography industry.

Also, there is a built in slider to allow how strong the 3D effect is on the gaming console itself.Any player can adjust the setting to suit his or her needs. The setting can be tweaked to the maximum or minimum (2D effect) as the user wish. This feature is a fantastic user interface design offered by Nintendo for people who are not used to seeing 3D.In addition to those awesome feature, 3D is not the only exciting thing that comes with the Nintendo 3DS.

It also features 2 cameras on the handheld that allow you to take pictures.Just a quick explanation, the Nintendo 3DS will superimpose 2 images taken altogether at the same time, blend them and hence making a three dimensional image as a result.I think this is a very nice feature to have considering you have to pay a lot to get a 3D camera.

For gaming control, there is a new joystick like button on the console that is sure to help with controls. The stylus is also getting a makeover and is being referred to as a 'telescoping stylus', which leads me to assume it can be made shorter and taller. This feature is again another improvement from the old Nintendo DS and DSi console.

As I have said on the beginning of the article, I can't wait till I have my very own Nintendo 3DS blue delivered and the wait certainly is killing me. All I have to say though is that when I get my hands on that Nintendo 3DS blue my family and friends can expect to see a whole lot less of me and more of me online.
