Will PC Gaming Come To An End Soon

By Joanna Fredricson

Despite the protestations of the remaining PC gamers it really does seem that the end of this way of playing games is near. In fact those who still cling onto their computers seem a bit stubborn and silly. There has been a major reduction in the amount of PC games sold of late and game developers are now less likely to produce the big games for the PC platform.

Even the number of PC games being illegally downloaded has dropped. In some cases you probably couldn't even give them away for free. The biggest reason why PC gaming seems to be going into decline is because it is much better to play games on a console; the gaming experience is far superior.

There are always going to be those who don't like change and who want to keep things the way they were before. The people who are afraid to let go of the PC game are the ones who are actually afraid of change. They really don't have any solid excuses for why they want to keep playing games on their home computer.

In fact these people tend to look down their nose at those who like to play console games. They kid themselves that they are purists and that anyone who doesn't follow their example isn't a 'real gamer'~They like to think of themselves as real gamers and anyone else who does not follow their lead isn't serious about gaming.

The end of PC gaming is nigh and I for one won't cry when it is over. Even some of those who swore to never leave the PC game are beginning to see the light and are deciding to switch. You just can't beat the games console because it has after all been created for playing games. A PC is like a Jack of all trades but master of none.

If you want to enjoy the best graphics and game play then you would be wise to go for something that has been designed specifically for this purpose. And the console is evolving all the time but you just can't say the same about the computer.
