Which Is Better For Gaming: A Mouse And Keyboard Or A Joy Pad

By Fred Smith

When people are hardcore gamers they tend to have their favourite controller type and while you may think that the biggest divide would be between the Xbox controller and the PlayStation controller you'd be mistaken.

Try telling a PC gamer that they should use a game pad or an Xbox controller instead of their keyboard and mouse set up and you'd be surprised at their response.

In fact you can do a lot more with a keyboard and a mouse than you can with a simple game pad when trying to get through to a computer. Any true PC gamer knows this which is why there is a market for gaming keyboards some of which cost around the same as a games console. So are these keyboards worth it?

The fact that there are a limited number of buttons on a controller means that some PC games are not set up to work with them. It really isn't practical in many cases to come up with a compromise which is what a lot of people are wondering. When you are using a mouse as well, you have a free hand to operate the keyboard at the same time.

You can even buy gaming mice these days which have more buttons than a standard mouse and they are designed to also give a better grip. The gaming mice on the market are also a lot more expensive than you would normally expect to pay for a mouse.

There are pros and cons with both the console and the PC when it comes to gaming experience but one thing that everyone agrees on is the fact that the PC is geared more towards adults. So for that reason many people believe that the technology involved and the cost of the set up means that PC gaming is always going to be more impressive.
